Basil Zafiropoulos

I’m Basil, a Chartered Accountant and financial professional with over 15 years’ experience supporting businesses to grow with confidence.
My career has taken me far beyond traditional accountancy. I’ve acted as CFO for start-ups, built strategies for scaling, managed investment and cashflow, and created the structures that allow founders to focus on their vision while knowing the numbers are under control.
What drives me, though, is my passion for the creative industries. Through years of involvement in amateur theatre, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside and learning from actors, musicians, writers and freelancers of all kinds. That experience has deepened my understanding of both the opportunities and the pressures facing creative professionals, and it’s why I’m committed to providing support that goes beyond balance sheets.
At our consultancy, I bring together technical expertise, strategic insight and passion for the industry. My role is to demystify finance, take away the stress of operations, and act as a partner in growth, so that you can focus on your craft while having the clarity and tools to build a sustainable, thriving business.
Louis-Christian Pendegrass
Co-Founder & Creative Strategy Partner
I’m Louis (but most people call me Lou), co-founder of the Creatives’ Consultancy Bureau.
I run the back office, oversee creative strategy and make sure our clients have the structure and support they need to grow. My role complements Basil’s expertise as a Chartered Accountant, combining financial services with creative, operational and relationship-driven business support.
My background spans fashion design, education, product development, project management and business transformation; having led international design teams, managed complex education and transformation projects for public and private organisations and developed sustainable business models.
Alongside this, I continue to explore my own creative practices as a writer, designer and advocate for traditional craft, providing me with a first hand understanding of both the challenges and opportunities facing today’s creative professionals.
At our consultancy, I bring together creativity, on the ground insight and strategic know-how to give creative businesses the tools and support they need to focus on their craft while we take care of the rest.
Sabbini Pendretti-Zafinnelli
Chief Cuddle Officer
I’m Sabbini (or Sabbi, as my treat dispensers call me) the Chief Cuddle Officer at CCB. A connoisseur of comfort and emotional intelligence, I embody CCB’s commitment to empathy, intuition and inclusive leadership (with a side eye of sass).
Highly attuned to mood shifts, squirrels and the occasional passing pigeon, my ear to the ground makes me an invaluable member of our neurodiversity-friendly team. With a finely tuned nose for both biscuits and cultural nuance, I’m here as a reminder that instinct is as vital to business as insight and data.
A devotee of forest bathing and soft furnishings, my discerning tastes extend to everything from artisanal snacks to colour palettes (right now I’m all about burnt orange and cerulean - obvs). I still have some work to do on my impulse control…especially when it comes to spontaneous zoomies during client meetings, but it’s a small price for CCB to pay for my natural flair and debonair good looks.
I bring equal parts sophistication and silliness to CCB’s creative ecosystem, keeping morale high, laps warm and perspectives balanced - proving that even in consultancy, the best partnerships start with trust (and a really good cuddle).
